Deux jours depuis le début du Arab States League Youth Forum regroupant à Aïn Soukhna, en Egypte, plus de 300 jeunes issus des 22 pays arabes. Le programme est ambitieux. Plusieurs thèmes majeurs et variés sont évoqués dans les ateliers (démocratie, bonne gouvernance, lutte contre le Sida, Coopération euro-arabe….).
Une initiative à saluer tant son concept est novateur dans le monde arabe. Les débats sont vifs et passionnés. Les parcours et la vivacité d’esprit des participants sont souvent assez impressionnants. Il y a un véritable potentiel dans la jeunesse réunie ici l’espace de quelques jours. Reste maintenant à l’exploiter. Ce forum ne doit pas être à l’image des réunions de la ligue arabe « much ado about nothing »… Le défi de ce forum résidera donc dans son suivi, à mon avis. Une fois repartis chez eux, ces jeunes arabes resteront ils en contact et persévéreront ils dans les projets lancés ?

Le concept n'est pas nouveau.
J'ai participé cet été au Qatar à uen rencontre dans ce genre mais où il s'agissait de regrouper des jeunes arabes du monde entier.
C'était trés enrichissant et c'était déjà la 3ème année qu'ils organisaient ça
